Our goal at Concert School of Music is to provide high quality music instruction in a supportive environment. We strive to challenge each student to their fullest, while providing motivation to help them achieve their goals.

Nathan and Lori Givens share a life long love of music and teaching. Both were brought up in musical families, and they appreciate the value of music in developing stronger families, academics, and self-esteem. Mr. and Mrs. Givens are blessed to share the gift of music with others every day, making Concert School of Music more than just a business.
Lori Givens has a Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance from the Indiana University School of Music where she studied with Allen DeVeritch, former principal violist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and Rainer Moog, former principal violist of the Berlin Philharmonic. Currently involved in chamber music with both the violin and viola, Mrs. Givens has performed professionally with the Richmond Symphony, Evansville Philharmonic, Owensboro Symphony, Columbus Pro Musica, Columbus Symphony, Terre Haute Symphony, and Bloomington Pops Orchestra.
Nathan Givens has a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance from Portland State University where he studied with Carol Sindell, violinist for the Floristan Trio. Mr. Givens was also a violist in the Portland Youth Philharmonic. Mr. Givens is currently involved in chamber music with both violin and viola. He taught Elementary Orchestra for the Lake Oswego School District from 1999 - 2002. Mr. Givens was also Orchestra Director at Alliance Charter Academy in Oregon City from 2010 - 2016. Mr. Givens is currently the Director of the West Linn-Wilsonville Primary Strings Program.
