WE've rebranded!

As a part of our 25th anniversary celebration, we are rebranded with a new look! Our two new names are Concert School of Music and Quartet Violin Shop

Growing families in music

We are Nathan and Lori Givens, owners of Music Man Studio. We have three boys who keep us busy and our hearts full while balancing our fulfilling family and business lives. We want to thank you for the many years that you have allowed us to grow the gifts in all of your families’ lives, and to let you know about some big changes happening to Music Man Studio.

Who is the “Music Man”?

Music Man Studio was opened in Wilsonville 25 years ago by a couple from California and the moniker was taken from the popular musical title by the same name. The founders’ family grew alongside the business and despite their success, after six years they made the decision to sell it and move back to Southern California to be closer to family. We have enjoyed seeing musical dreams birthed in this studio and being the catalyst of growth in many hundreds of budding musicians ever since!

Saying ‘Goodbye’ to the Music Man

No, we’re not going anywhere! But the business has evolved so much since then we decided there was a need to present something more clear and relevant to our community – something that offered a deeper vision of music than just a 30-minute slot on a weekday.

Saying ‘Hello’ to our music campus

Our vision of a musical “campus” environment supports the diverse needs of each individual while enhancing and engaging the whole student in a personalized setting as well as working and creating together with others. Private lessons develop a solid foundation for students to be successful in any solo or group context. Our new rock band program, XLR (eXtraordinary League of Rockers), has allowed our students to become rock stars! Our orchestra, chamber music program, summer camps, and adult guitar classes are some of the ways our students have grown together through learning and performance opportunities. Our violin shop, Quartet Violins, can take care of all your string instrument needs. Is there a program you would like to see? Let us know!

“Wait - What? There’s a violin shop?”

Yes! We have been providing and servicing violins, violas, cellos and double basses for students, teachers and players in the community for twelve years! The violin shop may have started as a series of happy accidents, but make no mistake, fixing your string instruments will not be one of them! Nathan has received extensive training, experience, and work over the last twelve years as a luthier. As a string player, performer, teacher and conductor, Nathan has a unique advantage which has led his luthier services to be sought after for his attention to detail. It has uncovered an immense talent that has grown into a full service violin shop and will now be formally represented as part of our services. We are here for all of your string instrument rentals, sales, accessories and repairs!

“Where do we go from here?”

Rest assured, nothing will change except our names and logos. We, at Concert School of Music, are still fully committed to providing high quality music instruction that will allow our students to achieve and enjoy music to their fullest and we will continue to serve the community, at Quartet Violins, through our string instrument rental, sales, and repairs. We are blessed to be able to share music in such an amazing, supportive community!
