Blake started playing electric guitar while growing up in Newberg, OR. He played in various rock and metal bands all throughout high school as well as performing as solo singer/songwriter. Blake later joined the Navy and took lessons during his whole enlistment before going to college to study music where he majored in vocal performance and composition. While in collage Blake spent some time in concert band and a Samba group playing percussion. He also sang in Concert Choir, Men's Ensemble, and Opera workshop. During his time in college he also worked heavily with digital audio workstations as well as composed and performed original pieces. Blake has also worked very closely with the special needs community.
